Windows 8
Windows 8 has new brand ui. It has basically turned the task bar of Windows 7 into the whole desktop. Where the user can pin anything any where on the desktop. Kinda like the strandard desktop. You can get news feeds widgets, reader widgets, ect.

Tablets: Smaller PC of the future or just a toy?
Tablets are making an impact in the technology market now a days, there are more then one type of tablet out there now. More then one brand more then Operating System. I own an iPad first gen. I am not happy with it outside playing silly games on it. the iOS has done me any justice. I have been looking at androids systems a lot lately thinking it will similar to my phone that is also an Android. The thought of being able to mount a Tablet that I will use to read and modify documents without using a computer is nice thought. The iPad does not allow mounting of drives or importing anything outside the iTunes app. Which is something that makes the iPad more of a toy then actually tablet that can be used for business. The iPad seems like an expensive reader to me where with Android, one can mount like it a drive and click and drag any files on to it. The market on the android is much better then the apple market by far, yes the user does have to be more careful what they download and must have a little common sense when downloading apps from the Droid market, while the Apple Market does do more to make sure that there is no malicious ware on the app market. The Document is a big turn off for me as a user that wants to put documents on a tablet to use for later away from my computer. There is not much flash with the Apple's iPad which is also a big turn off as well. The iPad to seems more like a fancy toy that people a bunch extra money for while the Droid is much cheaper has more strandar features
